In March, Japan's semiconductor equipment sales increased by 30% year-on-year, reaching a record high

According to the latest data released by the Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ), in March 2022, sales of semiconductor equipment in Japan surged by 30.8% year-on-year to 314.872 billion yen,with the 15th consecutive month of growth and the 13th consecutive month of double-digit growth. The sales in March surpassed the 306.3 billion yen in January 2022, setting a new record.

In the first quarter of 2022, Japan's semiconductor equipment sales accumulated to 915.201 billion yen, a year-on-year increase of 50%. It is reported that Japan's semiconductor equipment has a global market share of 30%, ranking second in the world after the United States.
