【Samsung Resumes Investment in NAND Flash Memory Production Line at Pyeongtaek Plant】According to South Korean media reports, Samsung Electronics has officially resumed investment in its NAND flash memory production line at its Pyeongtaek P4 plant and has begun moving in production equipment. This investment had previously been delayed due to the sluggish market. As part of a large-scale investment plan for 2026, Samsung plans to allocate approximately 10 trillion won in additional capital expenditure, focusing on increasing DRAM, NAND flash memory, and wafer foundry capacity. After the expansion of the Pyeongtaek plant, it is expected to increase monthly NAND chip production capacity by 60,000 wafers, DRAM production capacity by 30,000 wafers, and wafer foundry capacity by 20,000 wafers.
