According to foreign media reports, Raghu Sriramaneni, an HBM design architecture researcher at Micron, stated in a recent presentation that while AI compute performance roughly triples every two years, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) bandwidth grows by less than double over the same period. The "memory wall" that constrains AI performance could in fact intensify.
