KIOXIA Names Oota as New CEO in Leadership Shuffle

KIOXIA on Thursday named Executive Vice President Hiroo Oota, 63, as its new Chief Executive Officer and President, succeeding Nobuo Hayasaka, 70, who will become a Senior Executive Advisor.The appointment is effective after approval at the company's annual shareholders' meeting in June.A seasoned semiconductor industry veteran, Oota joined Toshiba in 1985 and has held engineering roles at the company's predecessor, Toshiba Memory Corporation, which was later renamed KIOXIA.
