Phison released the new client SSD controller chip, model PS5037-E37T, aiming to deliver a full Gen5 performance experience for mainstream platforms.
The PS5037-E37T is a DRAM-less controller compliant with the NVMe 2.0 specification. It features a 4-channel NAND flash interface with a speed of 4800MT/s, achieving sequential read/write speeds of up to 14.7 GB/s and 13.0 GB/s, respectively, and a 4KB random performance of up to 2000K IOPS.
The controller has an active power consumption of less than 2.3W. It supports a single-sided PCB design and is compatible with M.2 2280, 2242, and 2230 form factors, making it well-suited for next-generation thin-and-light laptops and handheld gaming devices.
