Seagate Launches FireCuda X1070 Series PCIe 4.0 SSD, Supports Up to 4TB Capacity

Seagate has launched a new FireCuda X1070 SSD on its official website, designed specifically for gaming PCs and handheld consoles. The product adopts the M.2 2280 form factor and supports the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and NVMe 1.4 protocol. FireCuda X1070 SSD features a DRAM-less low-power storage design, powered by a Tenafe TC2201 controller chip paired with Micron's 232-layers 3D QLC NAND flash memory. It is available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacity options.

In terms of performance, the 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacity versions all deliver a maximum sequential read speed of 7200MB/s. The 4TB and 2TB models offer a maximum sequential write speed of 6500MB/s, while the 1TB version achieves 6000MB/s. For 4K random read performance, the 4TB and 2TB models reach 900K IOPS, while the 1TB version delivers 850K IOPS. For 4K random write performance, the 4TB and 1TB models achieve 900K IOPS, while the 2TB version reaches 1000K IOPS.

In terms of endurance, the 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB versions offer 600 TBW, 1200 TBW, and 2400 TBW, respectively. The MTBF (mean time between failures) is rated at 1.8 million hours. The drive supports Windows 11 and Linux operating systems.

In terms of the price, the 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB versions are priced at $239.99, $459.99, and $829.99 respectively. Seagate offers a five-year limited warranty with the product, along with three years of Rescue data recovery service.
