Taiwan-based memory module maker Adata Technology saw net operating loss of NT$1.74 million (US$59,000) for the third quarter of 2012 mainly due to drops in DRAM price, while fellow maker Power Quotient International (PQI) will decrease its paid-in capital by 40% to cover cumulative loss, according to the companies.
Adata expects DRAM prices to bottom out and NAND flash supply-demand to remain unchanged in the fourth quarter, the company indicated.
PQI's shareholders at a meeting on October 26 approved the company's plan to reduce its paid-in capital from NT$2.925 billion currently to NT$1.755 billion, the company said.
