Recent rumors have suggested that Kioxia and SK Hynix will deepen their cooperation. In response, Kioxia CEO Hiroo Ota recently stated that such a move would face antitrust hurdles and would be difficult to coordinate with the manufacturing facilities jointly owned by Kioxia and SanDisk, effectively ruling out the possibility of deepening cooperation with SK Hynix. In addition, Kioxia has pledged to curb further surges in memory chip prices in order to avoid undermining long-term AI demand.
