ByteDance Said to Be in Talks to Buy MediaTek Data Center Chips

According to media reports, ByteDance is in in-depth negotiation with MediaTek over the supply of custom chips, planning to purchase MediaTek's data center chips. It is reported that MediaTek will provide an unspecified number of ASICs, namely chips customized for customer's platform. If the deal is reached, ByteDance may become MediaTek's second-largest ASIC customer after Google.
