Lei Jun: Xiaomi to Invest at Least 60 Billion RMB in AI Over the Next Three Years

On March 19th, Lei Jun stated at Xiaomi's Spring New Product Launch that the company will invest at least 60 billion yuan over the next three years in areas such as large-scale models, embodied intelligence, and AI applications. Related R&D and capital expenditures will exceed 16 billion yuan by 2026. Currently, Xiaomi's AI models have been integrated into its main businesses, including personal smart devices, smart homes, and smart electric vehicles. The newly released SU7 features an intelligent assisted driving system equipped with the Xiaomi XLA cognitive large-scale model based on the Xiaomi MiMo-Embodied embodied base large-scale model, achieving for the first time a unified cognitive architecture for intelligent assisted driving and embodied robots.
