GigaDevice's Next-Gen High-Capacity SPI NAND Flash Enters Sampling Phase

GigaDevice today announced that its next-generation high-capacity SPI NAND Flash memories, GD5F4GM7 (4Gb) and GD5F8GM8 (8Gb), have entered the sampling phase. These two products are designed to offer an alternative to equivalent-capacity eMMC solutions, targeting applications such as smart wearables, high-end routers, security devices and robotic vacuum cleaners. Both the GD5F4GM7 and GD5F8GM8 feature a 4KB page size and support higher data transfer rates. They are available with optional 1.8V or 3.3V operating voltages and support industrial-grade temperature ranges. The 4Gb version comes in a compact WSON8 6mm × 5mm package, and its standby power consumption is reduced by approximately 50% compared to traditional stacked-die packaging solutions.
