SK hynix Starts HBM4 1b DRAM Mass Production in Feb 2026, Early for NVIDIA Rubin

According to a report by South Korean media thelec, SK hynix will start the mass production wafer input for 1b DRAM used in HBM4 at its M15X fab starting in February 2026. The original schedule for mass production wafer input was June 2026. Initially, around 10,000 wafers will be put into production, and the production scale will be expanded to tens of thousands of wafers by the end of the year. This move is interpreted as a preemptive step to meet NVIDIA’s demand for HBM4 for its next-generation AI accelerator "Rubin".
