Google 3nm TPU Production Rumored to Reach 6–7 Million Units

According to supply chain sources, Google’s 3nm TPU production could reach 6 to 7 million units in 2027 under optimistic conditions—a significant increase from earlier market estimates of around 5 million units. It is expected that Google’s 3nm TPU orders for 2027 will be shared between MediaTek and Broadcom, with the chips codenamed “Zebrafish” and “Sunfish,” respectively. Currently, MediaTek’s 3nm TPU has not yet completed all engineering tests. The design feasibility of the chip is anticipated to be the deciding factor in the allocation of orders for 2027.
